The courses offered cover pistol, carbine, and RDS pistol specific all focused towards the on duty aspect of the officers job. Please select the class topic and date below.     • Safety/Med Brief

    • Mindset

    • Pre attack Indicators

    • De-escalation

    • Equipment/ gear setup, placement, and considerations

    • Drawing the weapon from concealment proficiently

    • Holster setup and techniques to access your weapon when sitting and or inside of the vehicle.

    • 7 fundamentals of shooting

    • Precision marksmanship

    • Combat marksmanship

    • Emergency/ Tac reloads

    • Malfunction clearing

    • Retention shooting techniques for close quarter engagements

    • Off lining drills

    • Use of cover and concealment

    • Multiple target engagement

    • Positive Identification and back drop considerations when engaging

    • Moving And Shooting

    • Holster (NO leather or nylon holsters)

    • Safety/Med Brief

    • Equipment discussion, pros/cons, Irons vs red dots

    • RDS maintenance

    • Mounting procedure for mounting the RDS 

    • Brightness settings (manual vs automatic) dot wash considerations in low light.

    • Zeroing procedure 

    • Finding the dot on presentation

    • Tracking the dot during recoil 

    • Re-acquiring the dot after reloads

    • One handed shooting (dominant & non-dominant side)

    • One handed weapon manipulation (reloads/malfunction clearing)

    • Multiple target engagements 

    • Use of cover and concealment

    • Positional shooting

    • Barricade drills 

    • Moving and shooting

    • Red Dot Specific malfunctions (occluded Ocular lens, Occluded Objective lens, water on the Ocular lens, water on emitter, dot is dead.

    • Ammunition: 475 rounds

    • Semi-auto pistol equipped with red dot and backup irons

    • Holster OWB Kydex holster. NO leather/nylon or SERPA holsters.

    • Appropriate range attire (no open toe shoes or low-cut shirts)

    * Ammunition: 300 rounds pistol and 300 rounds carbine

    * Semi-auto pistol

    * Red Dot/LPVO Equipped Carbine with sling

    * Holster OWB Kydex holster. NO leather/nylon or SERPA holsters.

    * 3 magazines for each platform

    * Double pistol mag carrier

    * Belt mounted rifle mag carrier and/or plate carrier or chest rig

    * Eye and ear protection (electronic recommended)

    * Appropriate range attire (no open toe shoes or low-cut shirts)
