# Liability Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in firearms training with First Defense Firearms Training ("First Defense") involves inherent and significant risks, including but not limited to serious bodily injury, permanent disability, and death, arising from the handling and discharge of firearms and live ammunition.
**Assumption of Risk.** I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown.
**Release.** In consideration of being permitted to participate, I release, waive, and discharge First Defense, its instructors, owners, and agents from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from my participation, to the fullest extent permitted by California law (Cal. Civ. Code).
**Safety Rules.** I agree to follow all range safety rules and instructor commands at all times. I understand I may be removed from training without refund for unsafe conduct.
**Medical.** I represent that I am physically able to participate and have disclosed any condition that may affect my safety.
**Affirmation.** I am at least 18 years of age (or the minimum age required for this course), and I am not prohibited by law from possessing or handling firearms.
